RECYF in brief

• Since its creation at the end of 2016, RECYF has been devising and implementing solutions to give a second life to the non-ferrous metals present in household refuse incineration residues.

• Having innovative and environmentally friendly production facilities, RECYF recovers up to 99.9% of the materials it is entrusted with.

• Composed of ashes, mineral fractions and ferrous and non-ferrous metals, these materials will be treated using a dry process developed in house, a RECYF exclusive.

• Once isolated and cleaned, the metals will be sent to the refining channels or directly processed and made into new objects. The rest will be used in road engineering or in concrete formulation. Other recovery avenues are being studied.

• This unique know-how makes it possible to recycle all metals with a particle size greater than 500 µm.

The “short” history of RECYF

• Creation of the company SAS RECYF.

• Development of a prototype processing line and validation of the process.
• Start-up of production.
• Transfer of the business to Balbigny close to the A89 and A72 motorways. With a surface area of 20,000 m² (11,000 m² built on), RECYF’s industrial site is equal to the market potential.
Start of operation
• RECYF achieves a recovery rate of 99.9% of incoming materials.
• Start-up of a new production line incorporating X-ray sorting.
• RECYF produces a series of 40 recycled aluminium flower pots. Weighing over 10 kg, 600 mm in diameter and 500 mm tall, these pots were cast exclusively with aluminium produced at RECYF with no prior refining. No-one had done this before!

•  The industrial estate is getting a facelift. Refurbishment of the networks and roads. Delivery scheduled for June 2021.

• Launch of a new fines sorting line with a capacity of 30,000 t/year. This line, added to the existing facilities, will bring RECYF’s production capacity up to approx. 50,000 t/year by the end of 2021.
• RECYF equips itself with a materials analysis laboratory.
